Good to know
Each object becomes one row and each key becomes a column; columns appear in the order they are first seen. Nested objects are flattened with dots (address.pin), and arrays are written as JSON text in one cell. A single object becomes a one-row table.
Values with commas, quotes or line breaks are quoted following the CSV standard (RFC 4180). The download starts with a UTF-8 byte-order mark so Excel shows Hindi and ₹ correctly.
Use "Semicolon" if your Excel uses comma as the decimal separator (common in some European settings), and "Tab" for a TSV file. Numbers are written exactly as in the JSON; Excel may still reformat long numbers such as phone or account numbers, so format those columns as Text after opening.
Questions
What JSON shape does it need?
An array of objects, like [{"name":"Asha"},{"name":"Ravi"}]. A single object or an array of plain values also works.
How are nested objects handled?
They become dotted columns such as address.city.
Why does Hindi look broken in Excel?
Use our Download button; it adds the marker Excel needs to read UTF-8.
Can I convert CSV back to JSON?
Not here yet.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Conversion happens in your browser.
