How to use

  1. Enter the one-way distance and keep round trip on if you are coming back.
  2. Enter your car's mileage and the fuel price.
  3. Add tolls, parking, food and stay, then the number of people sharing.

Good to know

Total = fuel + tolls + parking + food + stay. Fuel = distance ÷ mileage × price. Delhi to Jaipur and back is about 560 km; at 15 km/l and ₹102.12 a litre, fuel is about ₹3,812. With ₹650 tolls, ₹200 parking and ₹1,500 food, the trip costs about ₹6,162, or ₹1,541 each for 4 people.

For tolls, check the FASTag toll estimate in a maps app or on the NHAI website and enter the total for the whole trip (both ways if it is a round trip). Toll rates are revised every year, usually from 1 April.

Keep a 10–15% buffer for detours, city driving and price changes. If you are hiring a cab, use the per-km rate quoted by the driver instead of fuel cost.

Questions
