Good to know
Runs of two or more spaces (including non-breaking spaces from web pages) become one space. With "Trim spaces at line ends" on, spaces at the start and end of every line go too. Several blank lines in a row become one blank line, so paragraphs stay apart.
Turn on "Remove empty lines" to put all lines directly under each other, useful for lists. Tabs become single spaces when "Turn tabs into spaces" is on; turn it off if you are cleaning tab-separated data you want to paste into Excel.
Your words and line order never change. To join lines broken in the middle of sentences (common in text copied from PDFs), use Remove line breaks after this.
Questions
Why does text from PDFs have extra spaces?
PDFs store positions, not sentences, so copying adds spaces and line breaks.
Will it remove spaces between words?
No. It only reduces several spaces to one.
Can it keep my paragraphs?
Yes, unless you turn on "Remove empty lines".
Does it work with Hindi?
Yes.
Is my text uploaded?
No. It is cleaned in your browser.
