Good to know

Words are counted the same way as in our word counter, so Hindi words with matras count correctly. With "Ignore case" on, "India" and "india" are counted together. The share column shows each word as a percentage of all counted words.

"Skip common words" removes very frequent words that carry little meaning, such as the, and, of in English and का, की, है, और in Hindi. This makes the important words of your text stand out; it is useful for checking keyword use in a blog post or spotting overused words in your writing.

The table shows the first 1,000 words; the download includes all of them. Counting is exact, but it does not merge different forms of a word (run, runs, running) because that needs language rules we do not apply.
