Good to know

Markdown is plain text with simple marks: # for headings, ** for bold, - for lists. It is used in README files, GitHub, documentation sites, blogs and note apps. This tool uses the open-source "marked" library (MIT licence) and supports GitHub-style tables, task lists and fenced code blocks.

Raw HTML inside Markdown is passed through as it is. The preview shows it in a sandbox with scripts and network requests blocked, but if you publish the HTML on your own site, clean untrusted content first.

By default a single line break in Markdown does not create a new line in HTML; leave an empty line between paragraphs. Turn on "Single line break = <br>" if you want every Enter to become a line break, as in chat apps.
