Your mileage
47.91km/l
- Fuel use
- 2.09 l/100 km
- Distance driven
- 412 km
- Fuel cost per km
- ₹2.13
Most accurate when you fill to full both times and average over 2–3 tanks.
How to use
- Fill the tank to full and note the odometer reading.
- Drive as usual. At the next fill-up, fill to full again and note the reading and litres filled.
- Enter both readings and the litres. Add the fuel price to see cost per km.
Good to know
Mileage = km driven ÷ litres used. If the odometer went from 12,450 to 12,862 km (412 km) and the second fill-up took 8.6 litres, your bike gives 47.9 km/l. The same figure as fuel use is 2.09 litres per 100 km.
The full-tank method is the most reliable way to measure: fill to the brim (auto cut-off) both times, at the same pump if you can. The litres you put in the second time are exactly what you used. Repeat over 2–3 tanks and average for a steady number.
Real mileage is usually below the ARAI figure on the brochure, which is measured in lab conditions. Heavy traffic, high speed, AC, extra load and low tyre pressure all reduce it. A sudden drop can mean the vehicle needs servicing.
Questions
How do I calculate my bike's mileage?
Fill the tank full, note the odometer, ride, fill full again and divide the km by the litres filled the second time.
What is l/100 km?
Litres used per 100 km, common in other countries. It is 100 ÷ km/l, so 20 km/l = 5 l/100 km.
Can I use the trip meter instead of the odometer?
Yes. Choose ‘Trip meter’, reset it at the first fill-up and enter the distance shown at the next one.
Why is my mileage lower than the company claims?
Company (ARAI) figures are lab results. Traffic, riding style, load and maintenance change real mileage.
Is anything stored?
No. The calculation runs on your device.
