Good to know
Tiles = room area ÷ area of one tile × (1 + wastage), rounded up; boxes = tiles ÷ tiles per box, rounded up. Grout joints are thin enough to ignore for ordering.
Use about 10% wastage for straight laying, 15% for diagonal or herringbone patterns, and more for small, irregular rooms with many cuts. Large tiles (600×1200, 800×800) have fewer pieces but more costly cuts.
Common box contents in India: 600×600 mm usually 4 tiles (1.44 m²), 600×1200 mm 2 tiles, 800×800 mm 3 tiles, 300×300 mm 8–11 tiles; brands differ, so check the box. Buy all boxes from one batch so the shade matches.
